Here are some examples of how you can help:
v
Seating: Site
prep before show and breakdown after show for audience
v
Door: Collect
donation at open mics, aide performers in signing up. Take/sell
tickets at concerts.
v
Kitchen: Snack
and beverages sales. Entails setting up displays, brewing coffee,
handling sales and distribution of items, breakdown at end of nite
and noting inventory for shopping.
v
Emcee: Depending
on what it is, open mic or concert, may be one or two
introductions or many. Also educate the audience on schematics of
venue (restrooms, kitchen etc.) and future shows, memberships,
volunteering, sponsoring etc.
v
Product
Sales: For
concerts - helping the artist display and sell their product. At
open mics – sale of our various swag items like t-shirts
etc.
v
Clean
up: Usually
all will pitch in with break down and clean-up (even some of the
audience and open mic-ers!)
v
Grant Writing: Help
us grow by securing much needed funds thru public and private grant
programs
BENEFITS!
Besides the obvious reward of being
involved in this great new organization, LLM offers incentives for
your volunteer efforts: Volunteer passes to concerts earned for
hours worked. Annual volunteer picnics. And of
course, the inside track to great music and performers!
Open Mic
Volunteers
Besides all the people we need for set-up and
break down, we also have some specialized
positions!
Sound - Do you
want to learn how to run Live Sound? The Listen Live Music Open Mic
is always looking for volunteers to share in this opportunity.
EMCEE - Like
to get up in front of people and talk? Or maybe you would like to
feel more comfortable on stage. In either case Listen Live Music
would love to give you an opportunity to be a Master of Ceremonies
at an open mic.
Concert
Volunteers
Concert
Roadie - Listen Live Music will host regular
concerts throughout the year and require dependable volunteers who
can carry out a number of tasks on the day of the concert. Your
willingness to help is all the qualifications you need to be of
service. These will be
similar in set-up and break down to our open
mics.
